Well I guess it's the same as buying one album per month.
Currently I buy VERY little.
(Only recent track was a couple days ago when a friend bought it on my iTunes with credit I had for Apps.)
But i want to get into DJ'ing and although I'm buying a DVS, I still plan to get stuff on Vinyl.

I buy probably the majority of my music initially, and all of it eventually. I use iTunes a fair amount, but mostly just because I get the Gift cards as, well, gifts. Not a huge fan of the bit rates. I usually try and just get CD's, but the ability to pick and choose songs. I play to pick up a used Technic 1200 or something just to have to play records on. If theres a song I really like but im temporarily strapped for cash, I will (very occasionally) torrent it and then buy it at a later point. I dont really care about other people downloading or whatever, but I guess for whatever reason it just seems like buying it is the right way to do it.
i support my fave band by seeing as many of their concerts as possible. havent paid for recorded music since high school and dont plan on ever doing it again
Yes because the artist receives a royalty. Same thing with my Zune Pass..Sup wrote:
Could radio subscription be called "buying music" too? I bought a year sub.

Hmm, do artists get royalties with last.fm subscriptions?
Pretty sure that falls under synchronization royalty.

I buy some, others I don't. It depends.
It's the only form of media that I don't buy sometimes though. Movies, software, games...I buy all of those.

Download music, go see the band in concert.
