I am sure to use a server with the VOIP icon next to it but during gameplay I have only heard people talk on 2 occasions. It does seem like the audio is unclear, is this the reason why people dont use it? I saw on a few servers that they use vent. Is vent pretty much the standard?
People just aren't into the whole "teamwork" thing, it's pretty sad. However, there are some servers that encourage the use of VOIP and frequently use it. A server I'm a member of, =XH= Xtreme Honor Brigade, has VOIP and people are usually constantly talking on it and working as a team. Other servers I've been on that use VOIP a lot are FCW FullContactWar and L@W LegionAtWar. You should check those out.
Vent is the best (TS is horribad). Most players only use voiceover when they play with friends and then vent is better than ingame VoIP.
