[PS3]I'm hearing the demo can only be played for 20 min after that you have to buy the game. Is that true?

this game is far too easy. Bad company involved slightly more challenging weapons and such.

BC was just as easy tbh. Except BC was more frustrating as the weapons were much more shit/weaker, BC had more lag, and the Sniper kit in BC was so overpowered it was just ridiculous. I mean come on, the ability to kill armour/vehicles in one hit, plus a powerful sniper rifle, PLUS the motion sensor grenades which act as a personal UAV sort of thing. When you also add that you could unlock a semi auto sniper rifle, the kit was just lame and it ruined the game. I had to sell it because I couldn't stand all the Sniper fags in BC. It was worse than any other game with the sniper whore problem.

Yeah but in BC simply use the specialist kit

I only ever used the Assault and Anti Tank kit. Same in BF2 actually lol. It feels like I was AT most of the time though, even in BF2. Mostly because nobody else ever bothered to be Anti Tank yet everyone keeps on complaining about the Armour whoring.

The Anti Tank rockets in BC had no drop and were super fast, so you could also rocket snipe the Gold crates instead of going on a suicidal C4 run. Man, I miss BC. But also I was fed up with the bloody Snipers so I'm not so sad that I sold it

I hated those rocket snipers

I loved using the shot guns though.

The crates were in such stupid locations that most of the time it was better to just sit far away and RPG those bastards.

I hope they add Gold rush or something similar to it on 1943, it's a good game mode and it concentrates alot of the action. Conquest is alright, but alot of the time it's annoying when you're at the "front" but then someone just starts capping all the flags behind you

Instead of Gold Rush why not Supply Rush? Or just call it Rush like in BC2.

Battlefield 1943 Launch Update #5
Over on the EA UK Forums, DICE Producer, Gordon Van Dyke continues to keep everyone up to date on current issues players are facing. If you are having connection issues be sure open the ports listed below.

If you are having problems connecting to EA Online, DICE have asked to post your information in this thread.

Good News and Bad News!!!!!

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Update#11: We have added a huge amount of capacity to both the Xbox 360 and PS3. Except for some odd glitches in the Matrix you should have no issues connecting or connecting with friends.

A lot of issues with logging into EA Online have been sorted, but there can still be some odd issues that might not be on our end. Make sure you check that these ports are open and not blocked by your home network or your ISP. Please use the below port list to confirm.

TCP Ports: 80, 13020, 18280, 18285
UDP Ports: 53, 3074, 11000-11030, 18285

We will continue to work on some of the DataCenters having above normal Packet Loss that is the possible culprit for the screen freezes and will update on this later.

Gamersyde recorded six minutes of Battlefield 1943 footage. Check that out here.

Lastly, Gordon Van Dyke was interviewed by Xbox Live's Major Nelson for his podcast. The show is expected to be released today around 1:30 GMT/9:30pm ET/6:30p PT on MajorNelson.com. Once it is up I will make a separate post about it.

CoD4 didn't do that? You had to hold B right down, left thumbstick is to sprint just like CoD4!

Anyway I don't care about prone

Battlefield 1943 Troubleshooting Guide
While most of the major Battlefield 1943 problems have been resolved, some people are still having issues mainly due to blocked ports or ISP problems. Gordon Van Dyke is back again with a guide explaining what ports need to be open and how to connect to EA Online if that is your problem.

Hi Everyone,

Now that we have sorted most (not all) of our issues on our end we'd like you to try some of these suggestions that have helped many resolve issues that have affected them playing BF1943. If trying these still don't help please feel free to post in here about you issue. Give as much detail as possible or we can't help no matter how badly we'd like to.

Also, if you've found solutions please post them and I'll add them to this post with credit to you for the help.

Playing With Friends (Squad & Private Matches)
If you still can't connect on Xbox 360 or PS3 and are behind a Network Router/Gateway you should forward the ports listed below. If you don't know how to do this grab your nerdiest friend to help or go to your Router/Gateway manufacturers support site.

PS3 Users: Use these ports or DMZ your system to allow these services.
TCP Ports: 80, 13020, 18280, 18285
UDP Ports: 53, 3074, 11000-11030, 18285

XBOX 360 Users: Only forward this port UDP 3074 is the most important port for you to forward and can easily block joining friends in our game. We use the built in friend invite system for Xbox 360, one thing they don't allow is inviting a friend to play on a full server. This was also the cause of not being able to squad up with friends when most servers were full. Also, if the person that created the squad pr Private match has any issues joining friends or port restrictions when attempting to connet it will fail for everyone. If it fails see if a different friend can start it instead, but the person with issues won't connect and the others without these issues will.

We are double checking things on our end because last Saturday we found an issue that was breaking this system, but please try these suggestions to see if they help.
