Keep your Sir's Community off my Battlefield games please. Wake Island 2142 is piece of crap (well not as bad as Shingle, but still no match for official maps).xBlackPantherx wrote:
I honestly think that DICE would benefit exponentially by 'hiring' people from say..the Sir Community. That way they would have a direct link to real players and the actual community views while having people that understand the build of the game very well and offer a different PoV of the game, a community view. They already made a good step in this direction by the Sirs' Wake Island 2142.

I'm friends with Jason who made Shingle and he is a really talented guy... the Sir Community has a ton of talent also...xBlackPantherx wrote:

Like i always say... If you want to criticize a map... grab the bfeditor and make a better map...
it just sounds petty to rag on a map that someone created... don't play the map if you don't like it...
Love is the answer
I hope it's just like bf2 with new maps new graphics new weapons new vehicles new armies and no bugs!
That's what I say to eveyone who has complained about DICE taking too long to make new games.[TUF]Catbox wrote:

That's what most sellers brand it to be. Especially Best Buy. :pUUD40 wrote:

EA Confirms Battlefield 3 in Development
The big Battlefield news going around today is a quote by EA's Chief operating officer John Pleasants basically confirming the development of Battlefield 3; something the Battlefield community has been hoping for all along. The fiscal year ends March 31, 2010.
Update: Karl-Magnus Troedsson, Executive Producer of the Battlefield Franchise posted a message on his twitter again confirming BF3 is in development with no further comment.

We can confirm that Battlefield 3 is currently in development but at this stage we have no further comments to add.

Criterion Games working on a Need For Speed game wasn't the only surprising bit of news that Electronic Arts chief operating office John Pleasants tucked into his presentation at the William Blair Growth Stock Conference I listened to today. Pleasants confirmed he's seen DICE's work on Battlefield 3.
"I've had the luxury of looking at Battlefield 3 over at DICE in Sweden and was highly impressed by the way the team is working on that product," he said. "Of course, that's not [coming out] in the fiscal year, but that is a product that is looking very good."
Gamers worried that Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield Heroes and Battlefield 1943 were a three-pronged answer to fans demanding a third Battlefield don't have to worry. Battlefield 3 is coming!

Battlefield 3 Planned for Holiday 2010?
A site called Tech Fragments claims to have some additional information on Battlefield 3 stating they have been tipped off it will support 40 players per team, 24 vehicles, and 17 weapons with unlocks. They also seem to have heard it will be out in the 2010 holiday season with a free 1 map playable beta a few months before possibly in summer 2010.
Many are speculating this appears to be the same "leaked" info from October 2007 just the date has been changed.

We have also gotten information from a tipster that Battlefield 3 will be similar to Battlefield 2 and will support up to 40 players per team. There will also be 24 different vehicles that you can choose from and 17 different weapons. Like Battlefield 2, the game will also feature unlockable equipment.
So when will Battlefield 3 be released? The time isn't known but EA says not this year. We also heard that it would be the holiday season in 2010, however like with many of the other Battle field installments we'll probably get an early one map beta that can be played free a few months before. We're speculating that we'll see a Battlefield 3 Beta download in the Summer of 2010. However, nobody knows for sure.

So basically the leaked info which was believed to be fake actually had some truth to it.
If my rig now can't run it on high, I will gladly build an entire new one when it comes out. (Sandy Bridge and GTX 300 anyone)

Time to make some money.

Assuming they took nade spam, explosives, etc into consideration when making the maps, it could be ok, but otherwise 80 players seems like a bit too much.
I think a map the size of Fushe Pass would be good with 80 players
Sounds cool...but how long must we wait? 2010? I find this unlikely.
Fuck yeah!
Dragon Valley type map would be good, or Mashtuur City(that would be crazy).H3RB4L ABU53 wrote:

plus a 40 vs 40 with nade spam will make the game super laggy. pings above 45 to me are not acceptable but then again does dice really give a rats ass about anything anymore..:i7|Batman wrote:

As long as you're not playing BF3 on the same machine you played BF2 on when it came out years ago, you should be fine. You have at least a year and a half to save for upgrades. Start fattening that piggybank!specialistx2324 wrote:
