The television news you know with channels and anchors? I know the frontpage is forgivable but to honestly not break away from bludgeoning the fact that MJ has dies over the head for a minute makes me angery.Kmarion wrote:

Oh well, I'm not happy or sad... (@ MJ's death)
I was showing you what happens when a news organization fails to report on breaking events (#cnnfail). CNN's problem that weekend was that the cutbacks had forced them to run reruns. They probably should have predicted the turmoil though.Narupug wrote:

Their main goal is very simple. .. to attract viewers, listeners, and readers. They not only monitor every story on their own site for hits/links, but their competitors also. If you are seeing trending topics that you aren't happy with direct your discontent towards the audience. If they fail to report on what people want to know, they (generally) fail.

Is he really? He stressed concern about really not wanting to do the 50 dates his management signed him up for (only wanted to do 10) and he was in a shit load of dept. Record sales will boom now.
He's either gone back to his home planet or he's living in cuba with Tupac, Elvis and Lennon.

simple concept really. what can we do for iran? nothing except invade. fact. so, lets worry about shit closer to home. and i dont think anybody forgot about iran. funny people say that yet i think iran overshadowed NK tbh. but, cammipoo and the hamsandwich need to make themselves feel better.Kmarion wrote:

All I'm saying is that it just happened.
No. Fuck Micheal Jackson. He fondled little boys, an offense that would brand nearly anyone else as completely reprehensible. When someone like that dies it usually spawns comments of "good riddance" or the typical "I wouldn't have killed him I would have done x, y, and z nasty things to him because he deserves it", but because he made thriller you brilliant members of this beloved site mash RIP as hard as you can.
He was an utterly insane pedophile, a danger to himself and the mental and physical health of those around him. He is someone the state should have put down years ago, and would have had he not essentially bought his way out of it. I don't want useless scum like that wandering around, and I don't feel the least bit bad for thinking so.

Ahhh but there are so many ways to invade. Lob tomahawks from a distance? Disrupt infrastructure with the aim of anarchy? Full blown invasion, ho holds barred? PC invasion, involving the tactic of minimum troops and maximum losses that we have perfected in recent years? Total war? Limited war? These are important questions that need to be discussed.usmarine wrote:

Let me go find my copy of The Prince so I can brush up on the necessary talking points as you are creating a brief but thought-provoking OP to carry on this off-topic discussion at length.

I'm not going to defend the rather insane and ridiculous things the media spotlight has show him doing, but in the legal arena he's been found not guilty of pedophilia and related charges.. (ref: People v. Jackson).Flaming_Maniac wrote:

Honestly, I don't like that much of his music. Mostly things from the Jackson 5. Regardless.. he was a brilliant entertainer for millions and millions of people.
The guy is dead. A little respect ain't too hard.
Respect to the man. He was a bit deranged but he also went from the bottom of the heap to the top.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.

What the fuck Lucien, there's a thread for Michael Jackson jokes.
They aren't making up rules, they are interpreting the rules and deciding what is and is not appropriate to be posted. Which is what they do as mods.
Edit.
Just saw the thread had been closed. Meh, oh well. Can't say people weren't warned though.

I don't make the Rules. And while I'm quite a mellow mod when it comes to enforcing them, I sure as hell am willing to ban people.Lucien wrote:

In the above link, once you have gotten through the rules about what type of content you should post, take a hard look at:

My take on MJ? He was a musical/dance genius in his heyday but he developed into a very disturbed and abnormal human being that couldn't come to terms with adulthood and shouldn't have been allowed near children. Almost all of the blame for what he became and for his alleged crimes lies squarely on the shoulders of his parents however.
As for my Iran comment - I'm just harking back to media treatment of the death of Princess Diana and the fact that Mother Theresa didn't get a look in and how 9/11 drowned out a sea of other news (utilised to the max by corrupt politicians).

lol 9/11. man it never stops with you.
Rule number 11 is "We don't have to answer to the members of this forum". It's a cop-out argument that just goes to show how you justify your decisions as a mod not by this forum's rules, but by your own point of view.mcminty wrote:
