If you get "Demo failed to launch, X3DAudio1_6.dll was not found" error when trying to launch, install the latest directx 9:

Does this game have any single player story line stuff, or is it multiplayer only?
Its been out for a week in the UK/EU, and it is the most rubbish un-optimized POS I have played, the singleplayer is fun until you get to some random city and the 30fps turns into 7, I feel like I have bought a Beta TBH.
jeez man. how the fuck do these people still have jobs making video games?Racoon_Flyer wrote:

5/10 Imo, I Cant Drive A Lav
I don't even think my system can play it. I think my CPU and RAM are fine, but not my GFX card. I've heard a lot of bad things about bugs and stuff with it though, and a few of the vids made me think back to ArmA1 with the movement and the weird way people speak in the game. I think BIS needs to do far more testing before they release a game like this, which is a shame because they aren't many of this game type around.
It's shit.
Looks terrible, consumes MASSIVE amounts of graphic/cpu power, is insanly buggy, combat is shit, aiming is terrible.
It's just AWFUL.

Well, I guess I've got OFP2 to look forward to.
can anyone answer my question? i mean some of you are IT/computer people. how do these people get away with making shit after shit?

Heavycore fanbase that actually think what they're pumping out is good.usmarine wrote:

The original Flashpoint had a few glitches and stuff, mostly with triggers and things not working as it was unscripted, but it was a very smooth game nonetheless. But I think some of the finesse was lost when BIS left Codemasters and made ArmA, which was incredibly buggy and difficult to play for a significant amount of time.usmarine wrote:

BIS seems too intent on releasing their games quickly and also seem to keep recycling parts of the older games without removing most of the issues. An over reliance on patches sorting the problems further down the line looks to be an addition as well.
It gives me a bit of hope for OFP2, as they pushed back their date a few months so they could improve on the game.
From what I've seen of the demo and heard of OFP2 ... this will be crushed by OFP2. Graphics are decent, but the menu system is extremely cumbersome. I'll keep messing w/ it, doing things in the maps w/ the editor is good fun. Doubt I'll buy from what I've heard of the bugs.
