Does anyone else think this photo looks manipulated?

According to LATimes, they swear it's not, that the cinder block lines are just reflections. I think the point where the left shoulder (of the guy on the left) meets the wall looks really suspect (especially that bit of mortar that starts to move down and then stops). Also, when you think about it, there are very few vertical bits of mortar in this image... unusual for cinder blocks, IMO. Plus... looks like someone went wild with a distort transformation on this thing.

Just curious what you all think. I'm all for manipulating the heck out of photos -- except where news & science are involved.

Wall over the guy is just weird.

Fake photo starts to the left of the red line. The white line between the two men was where the original photo was chosen to be manipulated by the editor.

The guy on the left has been added into the photo and at a transparency rate which clearly shows the wall behind him. If it was simply a reflection, you would not see each of the lines cutting through him at perfect angles. Look at the 3 lines across his shirt, matching perfectly with the lines across his face and hair. A reflection would not do this. And its not a timelapse photo because of the line through his chin continuing past where the bricks should be. lol

The left guy and wall were both added and then thrown into this pic.

I even think that the guy on the right has been messed with. The face does not look right at all. It is really disproportionate to the body and you can see a few feint lines across his neck and upper lip.

Pretty obvious it's a fake.

It is possible to have some of those symptoms with poor lighting.. but the lighting looks fine to me. You would also almost certainly have a blur as well.

I wish we had the the original metadata. However the master fauxtographer edits that as well.

Of course it's manipulated. Unless we've found the worlds first transluscent man..

Look at the cinderblock wall, and the other walls, they don't meet at a 90 degree angle, and all the other walls are plastered, but that one isn't. If it was legit, the little outcrop before the door would be cinder aswell.

You can clearly see that the part from his left shoulder to right shoulder is transparent. Its manipulated IMO

It's a glass reflection on the Photographer's side.
The brick alignment was just a big coincidence.
