This month is the month of my birthday. I may spend the money I get on CoD6 and Bioshock 2, and maybe L4D2 if it gets positive reviews.
i can see my self aquiring them
It will get positive reviews.Dookie0119 wrote:

The first one is a great concept that needed expanding upon. Valve promised to expand upon it. Then they do this.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
Not really
They're all meh for me
Alan Wake tbh.
alan wake actually just entered my mind a little before E3 started. coincidence? i think not.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

From those 3, all I really care about is MW2.
Bioshock was a little fun, but otherwise..."meh".
L4D2 will have to make some huge changes for me to be interested.
I love L4D, but what's the point in spending money on the exact same thing with different weapons/players?

CoD singleplayer campaigns from IW make them worth the purchase.TimmmmaaaaH wrote:

L4D2 is going to have 5 maps new special infected and wondering wicthes. crescendos are supposedly going to only stop after you run to another point so no closet camping.
does it have a date yet?haffeysucks wrote:

I mean i'm 1 of the last guys to diss l4d, I love it, but cmon a sequel already feels a bit like a knife in the back imo.
I can't really call 4 official campaigns a complete game also, i mean survival is fun, but coop and vs is where it's at.
Oh and i thaught they wanted a realistic approach to a zombie infestation, incendiary ammo wtf.
Also compared to another valve game *cough* tf2 *cough*, support for l4d is pretty poor if it gets cut off when l4d2 gets released.
I'll still buy it though ( i mean i have enough hours on l4d to justify buying l4d2), but i am hoping that somehow it will be half price like 30 euros or something or that it comes in some sort of orange box 2 with portal 2 and HL2:ep3.
Good point. Sucks to be IW honestly, having Treyarch give the series a bad name every time they make a game.Flecco wrote:

Although CoD5 was bad, mainly cause it had the same shitty MP CoD4 did.
Fair enough though, CoD4's SP was pretty good.
Spring 2010 is the most accurate I've found so far.GR34 wrote:

CoD4 SP was pure Jizzinmypants! Never been entertained that great.TimmmmaaaaH wrote:

The Mp worked for me for the reason everyone hated it. It was simple. Easy to pick up and get used to. I can stop playing for half a year, come back and get a nice K after an hour or two of play. It´s rewarding even if you don´t have 6 hours a day to play it.
Unlike Tf2. I like it, but can´t play for more than 2 hours straight cause I get frustrated.
Anyways, I can´t fucken wait for CoD6! After the unsurprisingly mediocre CoD5, it´s about damn time IW brings up another one!
I agree. I'm going to break the bank with those along with ghost busters. I will have at least 6 new games on the 360 plus GTA5 on the PS3. I hope I finish bioshock 2 with in the 7 days so it doesn't eat up modern warfare time.notorious wrote:
Release Dates:
Bioshock 2: November 3rd, 2009
Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2: November 10th, 2009
Left 4 Dead 2: November 17th, 2009
Edit: I'm going to let my friends buy left4dead2 and see if they like it before I waist 60 bucks on it. I think it's way to soon for a sequel.

I enjoy CoD4's multiplayer for a laugh occasionally. The singleplayer easily matches Gears of War 2 though. Both feel like a massive action movie tbh.Sisco10 wrote:

Same indifference, only more bordering on the disdainful...Ty wrote:

Bioshock 2 = Fun for 2/3 replays; predictable, cliche-ridden and vastly overhyped.
Call of Duty 6 = Keep flogging the dead horse, it won't escape the fact it was already limping wounded by CoD2.
Left 4 Dead 2 = Finish the first fucking game first, I still feel robbed by purchasing the original in the first place. Crock. Of. Shite.
As for the VERY bold statement made in the OP: what about the months where Diablo III or Starcraft 2 are released? They are mammoth releases in their own right and will very likely dwarf the above-mentioned sequels in all regards towards publicity and reviews. Blizzard may be milking the franchise-sequel release model as well, but they're not fucking sloppy/uninterested like Activision or completely fucking nuts and blindly-ignorant like Valve.

I will probably take a few days off work when Starcraft II is released. No joke. Probably the most anticipated game of the last five years.
I miss the days when new IPs would be the big releases, not sequels
