/me will wait for 75% off or some shit, not going to pay full price for a game I already own.
Exactly. When it first came out $50 for L4D was a ripoff and I refused to buy it. But when they had the 50% off sale, I thought $25 was definitely worth it. ...And then they added even more stuff to make it a sweet value.NooBesT wrote:

L4D2 on the other hand... I'm not sure if even $20 could justify me spending more money for a game that appears to be a copy-paste + a few minor things.
We shall see what happens...
homo. i will gladly pay full price for L4D (and i did, 4 times) but not this.

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
Releasing 4 campaigns at a time that should be DLC and calling them sequels = greedy bullshit.
If it's $50, fuck them, but the way I see it they're looking at making left 4 dead into a series of small games based on the experiences of several groups of survivors in a zombie holocaust.
Think World War Z, they're making games for several perspectives, and I think that as long as they're not full price, I'll gladly buy them.

I was inclined to buy L4D a few days ago, now there's a sequel I might as well wait, right
The first one was fine, and still is.
I just need more maps, and make fucking Dead Air versus PLEASE.

Guess I haven't come across it.
However, my argument stands.
The game is fine, just more maps.
Or even better, make this L4D2 bullshit go away and have L4D:NO as an exp pack and sell it at about $25 US.Stimey wrote:

Then continue to produce exp packs with maps from different parts of North America/the world.
Fuck man I'd pay for a L4D Chernobyl campaign featuring some Russian stereotypes as characters and an AK 47 to shoot zombies with.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
agreed on all but price, $10 - $15 tbhFlecco wrote:

Hell maybe even as high as $20 if they change enough shit.
But using the same engine and only changing the textures or weapons is only worth $10-$15.
4 new maps, a bunch of new melee weapons and possible new ranged ones?mtb0minime wrote:

I'd go for the $25 price range. Remember I price for Australia so I'm factoring in the anal rape we get when we buy games. We'd pay around $25-$30 US for an exp pack. You lot would probs only pay around $15-$20.

They can't rape xbox users wallets as usual if it's $20 on PC.

Ok, maybe I wouldn't be surprised if they caved and discounted the PC version while microsoft still charged $60, but i'm not holding my breath.Miggle wrote:

CoD4 still costs $80 US on steam.
Because it was cheaper, due to exchange rates, on steam than in stores at the time of release (Aus economy was booming like crazy), Activision raised the price to that. Never dropped it as far as I know. Wankers.
Similar things have happened with other games. We pay extra here for a lot of games, and no reason for it has ever been given.

$60 for what should be DLC?
Valve can go to hell tbh. I wasn't even that impressed with L4D. It was fun for a while, but replayability wasn't very high for me. A very limited number of guns, 4 maps... it was half complete.

I'll say it again... The dudes who put this together are 'Valve South', what used to be known as Turtle-Rock studios. They are probably still finding their feet with Valve and I hope they get slammed on this because....
To be frank this whole L4D2 thing is just not cricket.

Hopefully after multiple ruthless beatings by coworkers this will become $15-20 if you already own l4d.
If not, resort to arson.

Same here. Ridiculous to buy a game for 50 dollars (well 25 for me but w/e) and get what it has. If this was an update it would be a phenomenal game. As it is, completely unacceptable. TF24LifeFlecco wrote:
Not buying. Fuck Turtle-Rock.
They hijack the TF2 team for a few months in development because they can't balance their own vs. mode. I buy the game. Its matchmaking is shit and the execution kills an awesome premise for a game then BAM, this happens.
Might stick with TF2 tbh.
EDIT: Reusing achievements as well? This is like COD5. Full of fail.

$25 wouldn't be bad, but a full priced game is ridiculous..:i7|Batman wrote:

Yet, I and others here would still probably end up buying it.
