Set for release November 17th. This seems way too early for me. Valve could increase the lifespan of L4D by just including these new characters / maps / melee weapons etc in an update. Seems to me like microsoft pushed them into it. Very unvalve-like. (inb4 uzique omg valve fanboy you think they can do no wrong).

The features sound great, as long as they ship them with the game on release, not half a year later like with it´s predecessor.
It´s most definitaly not coming out on November 17, but I´m still kinda excited!

I'm sure i'm not the only one here who bought L4D at full price only because we 'knew' we'd be getting loads of content later on to make it worth the price. Instead we wait 6 months with a horribly broken matchmaking system, then get survival mode and thats it. Then we learn that the first game is being abandoned and being replaced with a game that Valve mockingly says is much bigger and will have everything ready on release.

Well thanks a bunch. They can keep their damn sequel for all I care .

They hijack the TF2 team for a few months in development because they can't balance their own vs. mode. I buy the game. Its matchmaking is shit and the execution kills an awesome premise for a game then BAM, this happens.

Might stick with TF2 tbh.

On a similar note, Chet noted that they were discussing including the original four Left 4 Dead campaigns with Left 4 Dead 2.

If this happens then remind me to wait a year after Valve releases a game ever again before I buy it to get all the content -.-

A free download pack? Not a chance. It's called Left 4 Dead 2. It's a sequel. I use the word sequel in the Activision/EA sense of course, rather than the standard Valve sense.

It all looks too similar to L4D. I'm hoping its just a download pack for L4D. Might be in vain. Or even just £5-10 or something. Doesn't look like it is worth a full game price tag as it is just new weapons, skins and levels for L4D.
