Anyone know of the most realistic driving and racing games on a PC, [b]Ideally[/br] im looking for one with good graphics and game play, with the ability to make your own maps (cars aswell if possible) and that support the logitech g25

Am i better off looking at game on the ps3 / 360 for them?

Hmmm... good question. I'm looking into getting a new driving game too.
I want one that will do split screen, (left and right), supports 2 steering wheels, etc. for my 42 inch LCD. Setting up some car seats as well. Now I just need to find the right game.

GRiD maybe?

Everyone here seems to rave about GRiD.

I'm not particularly keen on GRiD myself. I've only played the demo, and I just didn't feel it really - it had a really arcadey feel to it. Graphics were outstanding though.

rFactor looks pretty good. Anyone know if it'll do split screen?
I can't seem to find a website I can connect to while I'm here at work for GRiD... is that available for PC's?

I have a G25 and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for the PS3... it's the best racing combo around in my opinion.  For the computer, the two noteworthy simulators have already been mentioned, rFactor and GTR2.  I've never played rFactor, but I can attest that GTR2 is a great game.

GRID is available on PC and it's a good game.  If you like racing games, you should definitely check it out.  It certainly isn't a simulator though.

EDIT:  Forgot about LFS, that's a good simulator too.  Also, I think I meant GTR Evolution instead of GTR2.  It's been a while since I've played it.

I've been playing GTR-E, it's awesome.

I'd say it's better than rFactor is most aspects, except for the modding part.

GTR-E, rFactor, LFS, Race07 are all very good and very realistic racers.

I'm going to say GTA4.

The car physics and behaviors in it are outstanding!

I personally love GRiD for the 360 although I've never tried it with a wheel.

GRiD does not fit the description of the OP.

Have you played any racing game in the past 6 years?

You're probably thinking of Burnout Paradise. Too bad none of those are realistic though.

Honestly, your best bet is probably picking up a cheap used PS2 and get Gran Turismo 4.

GRiD isn't a racing simulator but is a great game none the less.  It definitely has an arcade feel to it.

I have a G25 and racing seat for my PS3 and spend most of the time playing Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.  It is rumoured that they will release it for PC at Xmas.
