Uploaded some vacation photos so far from Potsdam, Praha and Venice ... all shots so far is with a Canon G5 ...

Will be uploading some D70 pictures later, need a special Nikon program first seeing as all pictures are shot in raw format ... what format do you guys use?

mine's set to RAW + Jpeg - about 16 mb each. you can do alot of post-processing with RAW, the Jpeg's usually good if the focus is good.
i use Lightroom to edit RAW, and organize my photos. i have Photoshop elements 7 installed, for $70 it does pretty well.

I have Photoshop CS4, Bridge, Drive, Extension Manager, and a few others I never use for £0.

It's Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, i should have given the full name before. Basically, it's the photoshop core redesigned for editing photos
(maybe Kmarion can help me describe it better - i don't have photoshop).

When i shoot RAW + Jpeg, it is an option only in the "creative" modes, and even then i have to enable it in the menu.
RAW gives you much more 'headroom' to process a picture, it is basically all the information the sensor captured. The Jpeg is
the RAW information processed in the camera and then saved to your card. But, software will edit Jpegs pretty well.

try Nikon's website for the software that came with the camera, i believe it's a free download, and it will let you convert and edit RAW to Jpeg.
