Im trying to buy HAWX, which is 49.99, and I got two prepaid cards that have less then 50 dollars on each, but enough combined, is it possible to enter them both so I can get it, or am I gonna have to go find a actual credit card.
dont think you can use two for the one thing.... you might be able to transfer the money off of them and onto a paypal account and do it that way thoughCommie Killer wrote:

There's a $1 fee for using pre-paids afaik. I tried buying FO3, which was $49.99, and I had a fresh $50 pre-paid. They charged me a dollar, then told me I had insufficient funds.
I buy with pre-paids all the time and I've never seen that.alexb wrote:

I thought it was an error, so I tried again, and it said insufficient funds. I went to check my transactions, I was charged twice, by Steam, a dollar each time. Maybe it depends if it's a Mastercard or Visa, etc.?DoctaStrangelove wrote:

Oh well, a pre paid credit card is a card kids can get in store...they pay lets say 50 bucks for it and its like if they had a regular credit card in their hand, but worth 50$ before being useless.
wow, so it's pointless, why not just have a credit or debit card?Roger Lesboules wrote:

Why not just use the $50
oh wait, so it can be used to by shit online?
Still kinda pointless, but less then I thought

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
that's exactly rightjamiet757 wrote:
Whenever you swipe or enter a credit card number, anywhere at all, it sends a $1 charge to the card to make sure it is valid and has funds available, usually they disappear in a day or two. It never actually takes it out of the account, it just places it on hold.alexb wrote:

Got it as a Christmas gift, usually just go and trade it in for cash, was planning on buying a small bubbler with it, but got one at the shop instead.
Not every one can get credit or debit cards due to bad credit. This also keeps you from going over, can only use what's there.Tehremos wrote:

It is a big plus for those under 18 as they can't get credit/debit cards on there own or for a gift card that's not tied to a specific store.
^Exactly, but I end up just getting cash anyways.
I've seen HAWX on sale in retail outlets.
How can you not get a debit card? That's just a way of spending your money, no credit involved.jaymz9350 wrote:

If you have a bank account, you should also get a debit card. Otherwise your account is shit. I've had a debit card since I was about 12.
Parents might not trust him, withdrawals may be monitored, etc.Bertster7 wrote:
