Nah, this is my school stuff. Some quite shitty amp and sub that I ripped from an old boom box and some chinese car speakers. It works well-enough, and it's shitty enough not to get stolen.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

<3 your modification skills there mate.

I just grabbed my speakers from the bloody surround sound system, and put them in my boot, put the wires into the dash and doof doof.
everything i write is a ramble and should not be taken seriously.... seriously.

You get to start when you're 18.
I saw on World Rally Championship on Dave that the Fins learn to drive when they're like 14, but it takes 4 years, so they can actually handle the cars at the condition the roads are 90% of the time..

Don't know about fins, but Finns sure don't. Learn to drive at 14 that is.

So, I further improved the amplifier today, this time, with PCBs for the caps

https://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb8/Freezer7Pro/IMG_0413.jpg

Also added another three (the small ones) on the input power, as the power supply in it was making it hum horribly.

Also replaced two 200µF/10V caps with 1000µF/10V ones on the output stage of the satellite speakers. The black thing on the right brown one (in the heatsink) is one of the originals:

The pic was taken before the PCBs, so the hunk of six is still there
It now has even less noise in the speakers

You think I should make a fire-proof case for it?

started modding my case today for my water cooling set up, as soon as i lay my hands on a 12cm hole saw the modding is done, wish me luck on not frying my components as its my first WC build.

Got my water cooling set up together this weekend, still waiting on my PSU from OCZ, and may change a couple fans, but this is probably it until P55 boards are released. OH and want to cover up the lights on the fans outside of the case somehow, was thinking of fabricating a metal shroud, but will prob just glue a piece of black ribbon around them.

Edit: I'm also thinking of cutting a hole in the back panel of the case and turning the psu around so its not stealing air flow from the back radiator fan.

Had to make a template to mount the fans and radiator on top of the case:

Everything dry fitted:

Getting the air out and testing for leaks: had some issues with the cpu to chipset line, had to replace it.

All together now:

Makes it look TOTALLY RAD, and won't fall apart when you touch it. Also gives less interference-sensitive connections.

My TRUE wouldn't fit a push/pull config with the side fan on the 900, only a pull.  So I decided that both the side fan and the push/pull were critical.  I decided to file down the fan but it wasn't enough.  The blades of the YL on the TRUE kept hitting the fan casing.  So I drilled two holes into the fan casing so that I moved it down a bit.  The combination of that extra half inch or so and the filed down edge were enough so that it doesn't the fan doesn't hit the side fan, and still keeps the back of my 4870 and NB happy.

The teal represents the original fan pegs.
