I'm not going to rant about it but I seriously can't find an ounce of fun in TF2 anymore. Every gimmick has been exhausted but that makes me wonder, why do people keep playing? I haven't played it for a super long time but some have so I want to know, what keeps you playing TF2?

Don't play much, but I play for Medic - I get a nice feeling healing others

Yeah hence I want to know what the other opinion is.
I don't play it all that often anymore, but when I do I generally enjoy it a fair bit.
Playing with a friend is as fun as ever, playing with randoms is as frustrating as ever, and getting better at Soldier, Scout and Sniper is still as fun, challenging, and rewarding as ever .
And Medics are still in short short supply so I still end up playing him the most.

I've liked it in whatever form for over 10 years. Its just familiar.

Griefing people as a pyro is hilarious. w+mouse1 has to be the most rage inducing name ever when you are dominating 4 people on the other team.
I play soldier and heavy a lot. Just enjoy exploding things/spraying with the minigun.
I dunno, for me there's still a lot of fun in the game. So many different ways to play it. Once all the main offensive classes get boring I might start playing spy. Looks like fun when my bro does it.

The sound it makes when someone dies to a crit or headshot.
The hilarity of duping other players and making them look so dumb.
Seeing how many people I can mow over in every class.
Watching helpless pyros, demos, and scouts get juggled as soldier.

I mostly just play Spy and Sniper.
I love hearing the reactions of players on 2Fort when they get a Sniper bullet drilled into their skull from somewhere other than the battlements.
Like...going onto the enemy battlements and sniping their faggot battlement whores.

Spy definitely seemed to be the class that kept my interest the most but as it stands meta-game wise people will spy check their own mothers. There's literally no risk in spy checking but the spy puts pretty much everything in line for even a 1 second window of a backstab.
Because the competitive scene is good and has always enjoyed awesome /win matches and great fun/teamwork, regardless of crappy community changes and transient gimmicky Valve toys. If you didn't tragically suck at the game you wouldn't find a reason to make a little bitch-whine thread about it...

I found melee to be as fun as it was in CS I guess. To be honest the netcode/crits make for really unfair melee fights anyway since whoever has the lowest ping can hit first and only heavy can take a crit.Flecco wrote:
