However, if a customer has not received a refund by July 1, 2009, the customer should visit www.xbox.com/support before November 1, 2009 for information on how to place a claim. So pretty much now you can repair your Xbox with the E74 Error or you will receive money back in 4-12 weeks.

tbh, I don't think I've ever seen this much news regarding warranties, errors, failures, etc. 360 must be one hell of a console if it's still running strong.

It is a great console.  Plus, despite the numerous issues with it, Microsoft has been pretty good at repairing and replacing them.  It may take a week for them to send you the box to ship it back and another week or so to receive the refurbished unit, but it still beats playing the console until it breaks and tossing it aside.  Every single person I know that has had issues has had them fixed and the new unit hasn't had problems since.  In one of my friend's 360, they upgraded his fans and HD too for free.

Or at least one of the panels was new anyway, as there's a scratch missing.

And even after having a 360 for almost 3 years now (Dec. '06) mine STILL hasn't RRoD'd.

Albeit I did buy a new one in January.

Yes it is awesome and worth 50 a year to play on live. There service is actually quite good. I had to deal with the red ring 2 months ago and got mine back last month. They lack customer service a little bit, but if you go online and do everything yourself then it goes a lot faster. I give this console an A++ for them to still keep people playing on this console.
