Does anyone here play l4d in any leagues? Right now my team is in CAL (which is down for a while), and playing in the infected cup and TWL tournaments which we have won first round of both and moving on. My team just got sponsored by Hausen Gaming which i'm definitely excited about. Also cevo is opening up a l4d league soon which we will be in. Right now we get a free server/vent and depending on how well we do we will get hardware sent to us because they are affiliated with a bunch of other sponsors. hopefully we do good!

So who else plays in leagues and what is your teams name? and if anyone wants to scrim just come into #teamhausen on IRC and PM kami, cartire, or nightmare. if you dont have IRC then just PM me in these forums.

actually with the configs for CAL it is perfectly fair with how the AI works.

it does rely on some good aiming as survivors, especially when it comes to shotgunning hunters right before they 25 you. the most skill comes from your strats on how you set up the infected for attacks. we have some very elaborate strats for infected and survivors that make us do as well as we do.

you play versus throughout the campaign. some tournaments are all maps of the campaign 1-5, and others are 2,4,5 to make it a little shorter. CAL does all 5.

Cause even without considering or limiting the director AI, I can hardly imagine how a fair game could work. If the survivors play together and have a fast pace or just rush through the levels, the infected got one, maybe two chances to strike in an coordinated attack. Or am I wrong?

I've done some matches and we didn't rush at all. We checked every room for a medpack, because it could be that medpack that made the difference. And most of the times you know where the infected are as a survivor, like on the building where you are in they wait for you to come out, so you've got lots of time to check the rooms.

No CPL/CAL is in the process of being acquired. There was some talk of it no longer being NA and all sorts of shit. S7 Playoffs start next week for BF2 so it's still kinda around but the acs and shit are all down.

there are plenty of chances to do coordinated attacks. plus with the CAL config, there is a tank every map. the witch is always in maps 2-4. it gives the infected plenty of chances to rape the survivors.

My friend/clan mate is a CAL admin. what is happening is that CAL got bought out and are in the process of moving servers and revamping everything. even he doesnt know what all is going on. the new owners didnt out much info out.

i'll have to get demos up from the next match for you guys, but i dont have any video editing software or the know-how to make it. i would just have the regular demos.

Demos are fine. I've watched some scrims as demo's and they worked quite nicely, especially with the small file size.

Didn't expect demo's to capture mic chatter, but that makes them so much more watchable.

all the mic chatter is in ventrilo so it would be quiet in the demo. it would be much more enjoyable to be able to hear us talking since you would be able to hear and see how we are setting everything up. maybe i can record vent too.
