pretty short deer season here

we have four rifle seasons all the way into December. Hunting in the Rocky Mountains is ESPECIALLY archery. Its sooo beautiful up in the high country during the late summer. Plus I love getting all cammo'd up, lol. I hunt elk too, havent shot one yet..But bagged plenty of Mule deer.

South east strip of forest between the middle lake and the eastern most coastline. There is a clearing. I saw a doe in the woods, ignored her.. waked to teh edge of the trees and saw those four bucks, those three nice ones and the other is a spike.

Seems like when tracking all most audio cues are does, and where theres does, theres bucks nearby!

usually giving it one full call every few minutes gets pretty good results for me, anything nearby should call back

Haha, my dad told me when I was very young "Thats why its called hunting, not killing."
@Krazed, haha that doe reminds me of about two archery season ago i feel asleep in this little makeshift blind i threw together, this doe walked in about twenty yards of me and woke me up, we both had quite teh scare!

I spent about an hour tracking one deer. I then tried to compensate for bullet drop to shoot over its head and see it run off. Turns out there is no bullet drop
