Cool idea, i think u should set the rez at something like a common desktop size, that way we can get some kick ass entries, perhaps wallpaper worthy like this:

• Contest Voting begins on Thursday
• Everyone has one week to submit an entry to me via pm, xfire, or email. The cutoff time is 11:59 P.M. CST on Wednesday.
• On Thursday I will make the poll for the current contest, as well as announce the next week's theme.
• The poll will be closed late Saturday or early Sunday CST, depending on when I am around. If another mod sees it open fairly late, please close.

I wouldn't worry about it being wallpaper size for this one. Maybe one of the criteria for another contest could be wallpaper dimensions, but let's not turn this into a wallpaper contest.

on the condition that the title does not offer any identifying characteristics as to the maker.

Topic:

I like the idea of making it a desktop contest, just anything that would be visually pleasing as a wallpaper. As long as it is at least 1280x1024 or something, it can be stretched to fit larger resolutions and not look that bad.

Sadly, I'm not at all good at making wallpapers. I'd offer an entry of something i made awhile ago, but it wouldn't fit your theme at all, seeing as i made it for the lulz.

Also, will there be a judging on what "fits the theme" or what doesn't?

I hope that people will judge based on both artistic merit and at least loose adherence to the theme. You're not going to be disqualified or something though.
