Graphics Contest?

Meh, this section has been all but dead recently. I certainly don't contribute, but it was always one of the most interesting ones for me to watch.

How about another graphics contest?

I was thinking for a theme I could post a quote (because I do like my quotes) and everyone could go off that. If someone is interested they could make a template to start with or something similar. It would be executed and judged as Omnideath used to.

So is there any interest in something like this? I'm not going to go with a "build it and they will come" attitude with the section in the state that it's in, but I would be happy to run something if there is interest.

We could just bring back the old one we used to have. I quit keeping up with it after Gibson had that HDD crash and was down for like 3 months because Chuy made it sound as trackr would be taking over soon. Since that is no longer the case we could just start it up again. Maybe even post a link at the top of the forum (same as where the Game Awards are now) to help spread awareness across the site for those who no longer tread in this section.

edit - a quick search yielded no results of those old contests. I think they were lost with Gibson's crash, just like the updated wiki (which I should have backed up )

You can host if you want, but I'm pretty busy with other stuff so I don't know if I'd even enter. If you do want to try and breath life into this section I wouldn't mind redoing the wiki and trying to get everything we had going before back in play... although trackr is set up better for it with the "group" function, but it seems no one likes it there...
