The axe is pretty cool - especially in combat against another axe wielding opponent.
Your head moves with the swing and if you miss you literally feel off balance.

That game was incredible. I got it on a magazine cover and played it for ages.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
For me, the future of physics lies in interactive procedural animation. The day they can make a game like Die by the Sword as cool as when it first came out will be the day that I'm in gamer heaven for months. For now, I have a 9800GT set aside for the task.
This was the first game that made me sympathetic towards kobolds.Sisco10 wrote:

Epic. I have yet to try it because I have had no time, but I will do this weekend. Hopefully. Already got it installed.TheAussieReaper wrote:

<3 Russia.
The fps are a little slow, but I've maxed out the gfx on an 8800gt and am using 1440 x 900 resolution. Lower settings and it then improves.I've only had a few battles but already it's clear that from now on THIS is the system fps games will use in hand to hand combat. It's great.Miggle wrote:
The combat system is phenomenal
The plot is a little bit thin so far, but it adds to the immersion value. The flashbacks are developing the story, but you are also altering it with your choices when you change the past actions of deceased crew members (it's complicated but works).
So far it's been better than farcry2 and is on par with fallout 3 in terms of enjoyment.
I'm going back to play it.
The disc is in my hot little hands. Time to fire up Windows 98.Sisco10 wrote:
