If you're muling, chances are you play enough to justify just buying a second key (presuming you already have one). But you're hardly going to get that kind of trust, even from people who don't play it anymore. Mow a couple lawns and buy the thing.
If you just want a buddy to try it out, download the demo.
I'd go for the Battle Chest.
