I'm looking forward to Borderlands, even though it won't be released in Q1 2009.
I love bungie, marathon was brilliant, but I really feel like MS had a lot more to do with halo than bungie did. And gears is the same way. I'm sure I wouldn't think they're as bad if they weren't hyped up so much, but it really bugs me that advertisement matters more than quality.Flecco wrote:

And I disagree, while the Halo games were nothing really new, they did do a lot of things very well.
One shit game that fucks up the fundamentals and BOOM. No more Halo methinks. Halo Wars might float but I think the further Bungie gets from the Halo games the worse they will get. MS has already ditched it for Gears anyway. Gears is similar though: I.e solid fundamental gameplay that works, backed up by a PR effort to rival the Obama '08 election campaign.
Also: Don't be rippin on my Fallout3, it might not be a real RPG but I still like running about with Lincoln's Rifle, snappin mutants and listening to dodgy 30s-50s era music. Is a good game tbh. Can somebody PM me about where to find Dogmeat?
I like Fallout 3, I said that in the other thread, the question was what I felt about it relatively to Fallout 1/2, and it doesn't stand up to them at all. It felt rushed, short and thin, but the gameplay was still fun and the character development was phenomenal. It just wasn't the best game ever, like many people on this forum believe.
Never got to play Marathon. Always wanted to but I cbf downloading/setting up the source code that they have for it. (you can download all 3 for free afaik)

They've not even revealed it yet and its 2009 already. This is Valve we're talking about .
After looking at that list I can safetly say that TF2 updates is what i'm looking foward to the most in 2009 with regards to games.

Actually, I think that might be great. Bungie comes back to PC, they have my support because they made marathon, and they have console kids support for halo.
