Uh...no. I was showing how absurd the "it isn't worth buying, so I'll just torrent it instead" line of thought is.
And everyone here needs to remember that even if you do pirate with a partial conscience (i.e. buying games you pirate and like, and quickly tossing ones you don't), there is an excess of immature high schoolers who pirate, but only do so because they are getting stuff for free. They are the people who don't buy games, even if they are good. I know most of the people arguing in this thread are past that stage in their life, but you have to remember that kids will always exist.
Edit: Thanks, because yeah, I had completely forgotten what that advertisement looked like and what silly methods they resorted to to try to protect their intellectual property...
I'm sorry if people still don't like it, but not everybody (I still buy my titles and swallow any remorse later) can afford to play along.
Not everybody can play along in the game of accruing luxury cars, either. Does that mean people go out and steal them for that reason?
