Professional, expert is a bit lesser.

Expert, if you are a professional in something. But you could be an expert. Expert > professional.

Professional just means that you are qualified to do what you do, but expert means that you excel in it.

Professional. You kind of have to be an expert to be a professional. (Doctors, lawyers, and some engineers are all professionals). Plus, pretty much anyone can be an expert.
Then every doctor and lawyer are experts?
Just because you get your degree you are an expert in your practice... I know many lawyers... I don't know, I think it is easy to put or say or just become a "professional". All it means is you are paid to the job really. But to be an expert at something , to me, means you are above your colleagues and excel. So I'd say Expert is a higher rank.

for example, most lawyers are professionals, but then they are experts in a certain field of law.
Expert because they are an expert in their profession.
AH- Lets take Roc18s logo for example... All NFL teams are professionals...
