I just shed a tear. Those were such good times back then. The best racing I had. Hilarious over lan. Wasn´t there even a splitscreen option for PC?

Have you put MW's post processing effects on High on PC? It is hilarious.

This game looks good though.

OUCH!

Looks like the car selection is a tiny bit better than MC: LA, but if you're looking for a racing game this Christmas, buy MC: LA.

God dammit EA, why can't you take two years off and develop a GOOD NFS game? Is it too much to ask for a racing game with fun, open world gameplay, real cars, realistic damage, good graphics and awesome MP? ...Apparentely so.

It got raped by IGN. 4.0 out of 10. Lulz. Who was stupid enough to ACTUALLY think this was going to be a good game? Come on....

I fucking knew it; I saw this coming.

EA has turned this series into fucking garbage and I hope they don't sell hardly any copies. This is the reason why I'll never buy another NFS game, and part of the reason why I avoid EA in the first place (DRM being the major reason).

NFS died long long ago IMO. I'm not at all surprised by these horrible scores.

So have any of you actually played the game?  Or does your expertise extend only to watching vids on the net ....

Have you?

Thought so. The critics have, and they pretty overwhelmingly dislike it.

The sites/places who I trust the most are GameInformer, IGN and GameTrailers...all gave it mediocre scores.

I don't care what the critics say, I want to hear from someone that isn't getting paid to do a review.  I'll reserve my opinion for after I actually play it instead of being a sheep and jumping on the tired old "EA sucks" bandwagon.

Yeah, sounds brilliantly enticing.

And I'm the last one who'd ever get on the "EA sucks" bandwagon considering I have multiple EA games in my library...Burnout Paradise (a GOOD racing game), Madden '09, Rock Band 2, BFBC...etc. I'm not going to say a game is mediocre because of the developer/publisher, I'm going to say it sucks if everything I read about it puts it as a mediocre game.

So are there any PC review by people who don't cry about their horrible inept pieces of shit they call "computers"?

All reviews I've read go "I CAN'T RUN IT SO I'MA GIVE IT A 5/10."

You sir, you speak the truth.

TBH, this looks like utter shit.  And I thought ProStreet sucked ass, this game looks like EA went "lets take the MW gameplay, and the shitty graphics, cutscenes, and over-the-top story we had in Carbon, mix it up a bit, but don't improve a single thing."

Body kits and mods look all like the same from last year, Free Roam was an excuse to sell the game, the cut scenes look cheap, pathetic, and a waste of time, and the graphics/lighting looks last-gen.  According to GT, AI is incredibly easy, vinyls don't show up online (the fuck?  Nice one EA, go eat cock-vomit), and the damage is mediocre.

Whoever is leading the NFS series in terms of "what should we do next" should go fuck themselves.  NFS: Undercover looks like they took every shitty aspect of NFS, crammed it all onto one disc, and released it.  What bullshit, NFS is dieing.

/rant to epic proportions.  I'm seriously pissed, I was hoping for a good NFS game this year, EA just raped all of their *potential* customers in the ass with this shit excuse of a game.  I'm off to buy MC:LA, at least Rockstar can get it fucking right.

So, is this MC:LA available for PC? I´m currently playing through NFS:MW again and I´m still dazzled why I can´t race in an illegal race at night too.

The last time I played a NFS game it was utter shit (NFS:C), and that has since convinced me to never get another NFS game again. Until they wait at least two years and develop something that is actual decent, I won't ever consider them again. Annual releases for NFS games have really dumbed down the series and NFS:U is a perfect example of that (also see NFS:C). It's so hit or miss with EA these days, and it's definitely mostly miss with the NFS series.

Additionally, low to mediocre reviews across the board is a good indication of a shitty game. You can have fun playing a non-open world (although it claims that it is), extremely easy game, but I'm going to pass on this rubbish.

It's a lot better than people make it out to be, but it's still not great. The plot is incredibly thin, which makes me wonder why it needs a plot at all. There are a lot of graphical bugs where parts of the world will be invisible until you get really close, this gets pretty weird when it looks like you're about to drive off a cliff... There's a bunch of different types of races, ranging from the classic circuit or sprint, to an arcade style "checkpoint" or a challenge to cause thousands of dollars of damage to the city. Unfortunately all of these are incredibly easy, I finished a race 30 seconds ahead of the guy in 2nd place. The cops are a lot harder to deal with, their AI is pretty good, but it's still not much of a challenge to get them off your tail, it can just take a long time. The music is mostly shitty rap and weird mexican shit, but sometimes you get Genesis, by Justice, and that makes it a bit more tolerable. Unfortunately genesis ends abruptly, because EA was apparently too stupid to get let there be light, and anybody who knows Justice (or the bible for that matter) knows you can't have genesis without let there be light. The cutscenes feel like it's trying to be a really shitty movie, with another one of those undercover agent plots we've seen hundreds of times. Free roaming is, IMO, better than Burnout Paradise, the cops make it a lot more fun, but the city is huge, and I can't get used to it like I could with Paradise.

Overall, I'd say if you like NFS games, wait for the price to go down, but still get it. It's fun for a little while.
