High end PC > PS3.

My 2 year old PC has better hardware than the PS3

Then again, my hardware was 'da shit' two years ago

where did you save?

Okay, thanks. I've started a new SP on a harder difficulty, I think I'll do more cellular missions/exploring and less time just doing missions. I sort of rushed through the story tbh, never got to really soak it all up. Hell, I haven't even used a hang glider yet.

Game is still batshit crazy, loving every minute I play.

Okay, just finished it. A few questions.....

1. What happened with the buddies? I got to the landing zone and one of them said "I have the diamonds here". A second one comes out, and seems to begin to say something before interrupting herself with a battlecry. It turned out like "He's not one of us. He- THERE HE IS KILL HIM!!!1". Next thing I know, they're all shooting me. Is there a way to make them not try to kill you, and actually tell you what the hell is going on?

2. Did anyone else find it extremely satisfying to kill your buddies? To be honest, after all their "waaaa, do my mission!", "waaaa, go to the other side of the country!", "waaaaa, why don't you like my dumbass ideas?" I kind of enjoyed watching them burn to death via LPO bumrape.

3. If there any way to get another ending besides the journalist-takes-photo-after-cliff-explodes one?

4. MGL-140 is awsm, yes?

1. I think since you reach Reputation Level 5 (Which is sort of equal to The Jackal's reputation or something) your buddies turn on you. I'm not completely sure, as when I went into the cease-fire zone, my buddy was there with the diamonds, I was thinking "Maybe my buddies will do something interesting" I took them and then all of the sudden I died. Had to reload the save game, and I just went in and killed them all before they had a chance. . God, the hardest part in the Heart of Darkness was probably the enemies on the GL mounts. Took me a few tries. (I used an AR-16, should of took the SVD or something. And the APR Guy in the Heart of Darkness is fucking epic with a Deagle...took me a while to get him because he get moving around.

2. Sort of. Tbh this was the least expected thing from me, as I thought after the Heart of Darkness portion was over I could go back to Free-Roaming, I was sorely mistaken.

3. I don't think so. Did you pick Car battery or Suitcase? I picked suitcase, although I think it's both the same. Actually, then ending is the only part you actually see from a Third person/camera view. I was hoping for an animation at the end where you see the gun point at yourself, or add some twist where the "piece that never jams" jams, and you get to live and roam freely. Not the ending I expected at all. really.

4. I haven't used it yet, I've started a new Campaign to max the hours, unlock all weapons early in game, earn the trophies I haven't got yet, do missions without subverting (I subverted every single mission for the buddy history and trophy, and use the hang glider, as stupid or fun as it may be.

Just got it, it's been okay so far. Unlocked a few good weapons and bought them now.

I would've liked to be able to hunt lions\zebra\etc though. Would have been really cool, tracking prints and finding somewhere to sniper at them.

I've killed more dumb animals by driving past them and having them throw themselves in front of my vehicle. lol

Yeah usually do, trying to get much as I can with this one play. Course half of the time Im replaying shit because I forgot to save every 5 minutes and I have to run back across the map, rekill the dude, and go back to where ever the fuck I came from.

EDIT: Im just gonna keep going though. Damn game should have a autosave system for us slow people or something.

Yeah, a good idea would be a prompt that reminds you to save ever few minutes, nothing big just maybe a small bit of dialog in the corner of the screen that's like "it's been ten minutes since you last saved. Hit F5 (default) to quicksave")

Also I beat the game and the ending wasn't as bad as you guys made it out to be.

I'm glad the Jackal becomes a sort of good guy, Rueben's tapes make him seem like a very interest person with allot of conflicting morals, it also explains why he does what he does to you. But I'm sad that you're buddies try to kill you, fortunately I'm the best Far Cry player ever so I got the suitcase without having to kill them. Heck I counted, I only killed 12 people in the whole last segment. Stealth > all.

I'm stuck. I'm supposed to free a captive from this camp, but the door won't open. I've killed all the guards, restarted the game, left the area, come back, etc.

The door icon never appears.

The map shows the guy trapped in the house. But I get can't in.

Any ideas?
