[Crysis] [Warhead] Snow levels unplayable?

I'm at the first snow level and it lags so bad it is unplayable. I barely get a frame a second. The rest of the game plays fine even on higher settings. Any idea as to what may be causing this? I didn't have any problems with the snow levels in the last game...

update - conflict with edited config files, restored to original settings and fixed it.

It plays like that for everyone.. the snow levels require more performance from your computer.

Either settle with the lag or lower your settings while playing through those levels..

But that's just my point, I don't have this problem in any other snow levels, and lowering settings isn't really helping. It's not just the game play that is slowing down, it's even the menu! Something else is wrong here.

I figured it out. It was xGj's config file. Apparently it disagrees with the snow levels in Warhead, although it makes the rest of the game look amazing.

could be because its a normal crysis config, not a warhead one.

I lagged out quite heavily on the snow missions, also started getting it a few times after as well whihc was weird becuase even though i was playing on low earlier the game ran about twice as fast as the original crysis. I managed to get through playing in windowed mode and a lower res.

I didn't get any lag on the snow levels, but on the level where you have to defend that guy planting the explosives I got this douchebag always getting in the way of the turret so I couldn't shoot.

I also couldn't fire my rocket launcher some times, and when I tried my arms came off and faced towards me...

I jumped on the shack and just started nading everything... Probably only works on easy difficulty though.

That's kinda like running alongside the opposite side of the train in Speed mode whenever an enemy comes up lol..
