Fuck Yeah
A video game version of Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen is due out this month but, to the bewilderment of the foul-mouthed chef's fans - and the amazement of his detractors, it is rated PG.
The celebrity chef's famously fiery tirades, which have garnered his various TV shows worldwide notoriety, will be a key element of the game, but swear words will be beeped out.
"But it's fairly obvious what he's saying ... and he's still going to call you a donkey," Claudia Luck, product manager at the game's publisher, Ubisoft, said.
Celebrity TV chefs such as Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson and Ramsay have put the spotlight on cooking, in turn attracting interest from game developers.
This year a new "interactive cookbook" game for the Nintendo DS was released called Cooking Guide: Can't Decide What To Eat?
Ramsay visited Australia in June to shoot yet another reality show, this time about his search for a chef to run a new venue he plans to open this year in Melbourne's Crown Complex.Article
Serious though, how desperate can the games industry get? I expect this to sell less than 200 copies here. Probably be lucky to make 2000 total world wide.
lol @ Ubisoft I suppose.
