The PAC-10 blamed the officials...and so did the officials. So, yeah, they're to blame.

We'll just see how things go this week.

I've got so much more to be bitter about than the Oregon game last year...

how can you blame the officials for something that's clearly stated in the rulebook?

don't get me wrong; i feel as if that was a horrible call, but the rulebook is to blame, not the ref. if that wasn't in the rules, it wouldn't have been called. end of story

I guess I'm not sure what you're talking about. It was a bad call because the call wasn't in accordance with the rules.

After a score or any other play, the player in possession immediately
must return the ball to an official or leave it near the dead-ball spot.
This prohibits:
(a) Kicking, throwing, spinning or carrying (including off of the
field) the ball any distance that requires an official to retrieve it.
(b) Spiking the ball to the ground [Exception: A forward pass to
conserve time (Rule 7-3-2-d)].
(c) Throwing the ball high into the air.
(d) Any other unsportsmanlike act or actions that delay the game.

Fook! whats up with the holding calls! USC players are holding the jerseys around the armpits. One was caught on instant replay on the first interception/touchdown...no call was made >=\

UPDATE: ok ref call holding on USC when the penalty is nulled & vold. ~

I was talking about the screwing OU got by PAC-10 refs at Oregon (onside kick fiasco).

I realized what you were talking about while I was watching the game last night.

I'm just hoping the Tennessee-Alabama score doesn't follow the pattern of Florida-Kentucky.
