Should I Take This Test?

I don't knot how many of you have heard of Mensa before but I recently took one of their home tests just to see how I would do out of sheer curiosity. I ended up landing in approximately the 90th percentile, which to join this "society" i guess you could call it, you need to land in at least the top 2%, which for them would be an approximate IQ score of 132.

So I'm wondering if I should even bother taking the actual test, although I am leaning towards taking the test anyways just for the hell of it.

Null vote. Instead of just taking a quick test, you should open a thinly veiled thread to brag about your supposed IQ.

You have to try harder than that here, maybe you weren't a member when someone else opened a "post your IQ" poll with a similar ulterior motive, but according to the results the average IQ on BF2S was somewhere around 160. Of course, the only ones who believed it had an actual IQ of less than half that.

Well, that was actually not my intentions to be honest. I just wanted to know other peoples opinions whether or not I should put my resources into taking this test, but meh, take this thread however you please. it's the internetz!!1!1!!!!11!!

Don't join it, absolute waste of money.

Mensa is essentially nothing more than a club of middle-class managerial types that have money to throw away at pointless 'credentials' and 'accolades'- which are basically glamorized and rebranded IQ tests. There's nothing 'genius' about a Mensa member... in fact quite the contrary, who pays a yearly subscription for the right to parade a badge that declares 'I can do basic logic, grammar and arithmetic'? It's the sort of thing you talk about and mention at the country-club on weekends, right in between comparing your Jaguar to the guy parked next to you and belittling the 'common' caddies.

That said, sign away if you're feeling insecure or as if you need some form of intelligence validation .

In the home test I scored 165, then officially I scored 155 and paid up the membership for a year just for the hell of it.

No real advantages of joining it tbh, you get to talk to other members in special interest groups, but other then that it's nothing more than bragging rights (which in no way will make you more popular).

I wouldn't bother really.

Same here, I scored a 57/30 on the entry test, then a 4,301 on the IQ test. Last year I had a partial lobotomy, but still scored a 265 on the home IQ test.
