Got my new lappy (<3 max) up and running SMP. I have no idea of what kind of PPD it's gonna get, but I think it's about 800-1000.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I bought a couple of 82 ohm 1/4W resistors today. Finally I don't need to attach a monitor to each GPU anymore, but can use dummy plugs

I'd rather spend 0.06$ per GPU than messing around with monitors

Ok so a scheduled task is set to shutdown my pc at 4am, and it has worked the past few nights (to maximise uptime). I probably won't reach 5600 PPW but kylef's spot is in sight.

ah well my goal was to catch up to and overtake mikeyb but thats clearly not happening anymore. i let my ps3 folds 24/7 for 2 days just to cattch him up but he is now 1000 points ahead of me. damn you mikeyb damn you!
