Hey guys, the title says it all. After joining any MP server COD4 with CTD (Crash to desktop) with that error message. I don't know what to do.

Any ideas as to how I may fix this (I have no re-installed yet, incase it's useless).

Exept none of the things in the either forum works. I've tred the "Mix Stereo /whatever" and it doesn't work because I don't even see that option/icon/whatever.

So I also tried the switch to mic thing, and I don't know how to do that, my mic is in, it's working, but I'm still getting the problem.

Please somebody help me. Those other threads are useless.

iw3mp.exe is the game itself. Reinstall would be your best bet.

Ok so I re-installed and did all those useless .asi to .bak things. Which doesn't work.   

This is so annoying, I just get back from vacation with a new PC and game, I can't find the dang game, my PC 5.1 sound thing is not working and COD4 is not working. Also ArmA is running really slow on a 6ghz, 8500GT 512mb card and 4 gigs of ram. 

So I'm really...annoyed to put it mildly. Does anybody else have a solution besides re-installing and renaming the asi files ??

Follow the three 'Re's of windows.

Restart Reinstall Reformat.
