Nope!  We actually have 3 Aussie members!  Granted our battle day starts at 3am on Monday mornings for you guys.  I admire our AUS players dedication.

Yes, we fully expect to carry over into ArmA 2.   Its looking like Campaign 2 will get started sometime in early August.  Our main mod is about 500mb.  But once you get that installed, updates are much smaller.  Don't worry too much about your ping.  Since ArmA isn't so much a "twitch" shooter, players with higher pings can still have a normal gaming experience.  Unless you try to play with a satellite connection, like one of our guys.  He had a 1 second ping!  lol

did they fix the aiming?
i tried the demo and the character kept looking in one direction while swaying the rifle around to aim.
and the weapon parts didn't move while firing

I love ArmA and I'm going to be re-installing it when I get back from vacation. I used to have alot of fun playing deathmatch style games online. It's a shame that most servers are co-op and not pvp because the pvp aspect of arma can be beautiful. I also loved to make a 2 man server and just create missions with my friend. Hours of fun right there! I remember he was guiding in laser guided bombs from my harrier and I was doing strafing runs. I'm going to give the XAM mod another try, just to see what their online community is like. I can't participate in your tournament (even though I'd love to) but I seriously reccomend arma (and arma tournaments) to anyone who loved ofp or just likes an awesome tactical game thats amazing online. Also, to people who played earlier versions of ArmA, the current patch runs like a dream for most people so it's definatly worth another try.

I really really want to. But I'll be going to a private school very soon so I wont have any time. My PC also sucks and online has been really glitchy for me. If I can get ArmA running nicely and find the time to play, I will definitly consider stopping by.

Glad you enjoyed it Adams.   And good to hear you destroyed an MHQ.  Thats a huge blow to the Russians when they lose one.     Don't worry about the glitches we had yesterday man, those are getting worked out.  It normally goes much smoother than it did Sunday.

@ aerodynamic -  Its been a while since I played Project Reality.  But ArmA is designed to be realistic from its out of the box state.  And while its a bit 'rough' around the edges out of the box, we've used some great mods and scripts to massively improve it.
