Need some ideas for logo

A friend asked me to make a logo for his paintball team, but he wasn't really specific on what he wants, so that gives me free reign.

Any general concepts?
I don't want anyone to make it for me, I just need some rough ideas/concepts.

..and no skulls. I'm sick of skulls in logos.

Find another design other than a skull and put it overtop of a paint splat. Add the name underneath in some grungy or paint blob text.

I dunno how much detail you want but maybe add some broken paintballs to it.

I know, I've used such a combination for some advertisements once, my point was Portal didn't invent the stick figure.

My suggestion is go for something simple.
A logo must be simple, it must be something you can look at and understand what it isi.
So try to vector a paintball gun, and then write the crew name inside the vector gun.
Can't really explain by words.
If you want I could make one.
