Cancer has had a big effect on my family, and folding is where I feel I can fight back.

I fight cancer on two fronts, my business and folding.

I own a Home Care Business where I send nurses to homes to care for the elderly AT THEIR homes. One aspect of my business is we take care of Chemo-Therapy patients at home also. We take care of their ailments while on Chemo.

In Miami, my parents own a Hospice Staffing Company, where they send Nurses to take care of patients on their last months of life. Those deemed to have less than 6 months to live.

This is where I get my passion for Folding from. Seeing/hearing/talking and interacting with people who suffer from all these diseases makes you want to do something about it.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I just installed the new SMP client, V1.01. All is good, no errors so far, still at 0% though. However, neither of my cores are being maxed out to 100%. CPU usage is bouncing around erratically in the 50%-90% range on both cores. Is that supposed to happen?

It does that for me. When I run it on one core, the threads use very different % of the CPU. When I run on both cores, they jump around at 80-100%. It seems to jump around more in the first 2-3%.

seeing as centrino2 is still going to take some time until it arrives here, thus pushing my lappy upgrade back a bit, I've been thinking about upgrading my "server". For a little more than 500$ I could get 4x 8800GT 256MB and a MSI K9A2 plat (only AMD board that has 4x PCIe x16 slots, even with good spacing). Should collect 20k ppd. What do you guys think?

- 3x Asus EN8800GT 256MB (cheapest 8800GT, incl. dual slot cooler)
- PoV 8800GT 512MB (I need a single-slot-cooler card so I can fit my PCI SATA controller).
Should be there some time next week
