I think the title is self-explanatory.

ONly if you REALLY like flight sims... It has a pretty hard leanring curve and needs a pretty good rig to run smoothly with good lookin graphics. I bought it thinking I would play alot of it... but I think i got bored after a few days of it.
If you are into flying and want to learn more ... then yes, definitely. But like Sonder said, you need a decent rig. I run it on medium settings (X1900XT 512MB/1280x1024/2GB/E6400) and on some new modeled 747s in the rain and dark I'm lucky to pass 10fps.
Still, some great missions and as a whole very fun ... great 'game'

FSX is a resource hog. XPlane might do your rig more justice, or you can grab an older MFS.
What I want to know is why they never made Space Simulator 2.

I have a E6750, 4 GB RAM, and a 8800GTS 512. The demo runs fine on it at max settings.
The fighter jet version looks more fun & I plan on getting that one when I build my new rig, as far as FSX goes, it gets very Yawn* after a bit.
Which fighter jet version?
I believe he means Microsoft Flight Simulator: Acceleration, which is an expansion pack to the main.
I already have Lock-On for combat.
If you can get your head round Lock-On, you will definitely get your way around FSX alright!nukchebi0 wrote:

Just Flight have made an expansion for FSX and FS2004 called Space Shuttle. If you're into spaceflight you might want to check it out.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Xplane > FSX if you like lock on.
Xplane has working weapons without an expansion pack, better planes, and awesome graphics. Not to mention a much better
flight model

Go for xplane, you've got the system to run it.
