Simply put. Have you ever been in a situation on teh interwebs (though I suppose IRL if you are a crazy bastard) where you have made a point, specifically if you have put a lot of effort into it, and the reply you get is merely lol (or any derivitive)?

It doesn't really piss me off but it does kind of make me lost a little respect for whoever does it. The way I see it, they want to post and get their name out there, but don't want to think of something constructive to say. All they're really doing is wasting everybody's time that is reading through the topic and the site's bandwidth so it's pretty pointless.
