It seems like DC has a few deeper characters with deeper storylines, but only a couple. Marvel has more shallow plots and characters, but way more. This is just speculation though, I could probably name less than 10 DC comic characters so I don't really know what I'm talking about.

Really? It just seemed to me like Batman, Watchmen, etc. are deeper, more complex, and deal with more "philosophical" subject matter than things like Spider Man and The Hulk.

Neither is Iron Man. And Iron Man isn't as much of an asshole when he's Tony Stark as Batman is when he's Bruce Wayne.

Plus Iron Man's sidekick is a badass black version of himself called War Machine. Batman's is a little boy in tights.
