Nothing really special... 5400RPM and only 8mb cache... but going above that in a 2.5in drive gets too expensive and I just wanted more space._j5689_ wrote:
What are the specs of it, did you get a 5400RPM or a 7200RPM?VicktorVauhn wrote:

I've never even heard of that brand...heggs wrote:
I got this for my dad about a week ago. I'll be visiting him this weekend to help him set it up. It should really push his MTX floorstanding speakers pretty hard and offer a huge improvement over the current receiver he has (older than me, and only is a stereo receiver).

They're pretty highly regarded as an audio manufacturer, always getting very high customer reviews; they primarily do receivers, although they do also have a few shelf stereo systems and a few home-theater-in-a-box systems. It was either that or a Denon receiver (also highly regarded, and more expensive per price point than Onkyo).Poseidon wrote:

What gfx card do you have?Sup3r_Dr4gon wrote:
Just bought and installed an E8400. It was only $199, and it's increased my 3Dm06 score by over 3000 (9650 --> 12912). I've yet to test it in a game, but I expect there to be a performance boost. Well, I hope there is, seeing that it took me over an hour to install it.
I've also tested my RAID card and it seems to work, so now I'll be able to get a new HDD (750GB or 1TB, haven't decided yet) and a SATA DVD drive.
