The first game was good but the graphics were shitty.
The trailer looks great i love the part with the UH-60s.

well when i got the game. compared to my other games they wernt all that great. But it was one of the best games ive ever played.

I can't Wait! OFP was the first game I ever played that had vehicles that you could get in. I just hope it is as easy as the first to make maps.

I'll probably still try it out, though. As long as Codemasters keeps the spirit of the first one even without its developers, it'll be good.

Oh, I figured it was something to do about how the models acted. Still, I wonder how the CoD4 engine would do with a game like this, with like open environments, vehicles, bullet drop/time, etc.

Yeah, I would like to know too. There has to a be a size limit for maps for the CoD4 engine and I would think the size limit won't be that big. Plus with all the objects on the map and lag.

I thought I read somewhere it was based on a little island between Vladivostok and Japan that the Russians and Japs used to have disputes over. The only change they made for the fictional one was to say it's covered in oil. Or was that ArmA2's island?

I believe it was said that the island is a copy of an island just off of Alaska because it better suits the style of gameplay they wanted. The fictional island was renamed to the one off of Japan and is supposed to have a massive resource of oil.
