IMO the airstrikes, uav, and helis detract from the game so much, and the perk system allows for people to score loads of points without using any strategy or thought.
CoD2 was amazing, CoD:UO was even better, but CoD4 is absolute shit.

I don't know about you but since it doesn't exist in COD4, you cant camp an ammo bag and constantly huck grenades for 10 minutes straight. I've seen that quite often in BF2 and BF2142 when it comes to tight corners and hallways/passage ways.

Ummm no they haven't perfected the guns at all. It's easy to shoot people when they aren't looking at you thats not skill at all. The Competition has kept this game alive for me it's so much fun with 5v5, I can barely stand pubs because well they aren't fun at all, I did find a random server and a couple of us tag up as Team Rocket Jesse/James/Meowth etc... And use the Demolition stock kit lol. But other than that pubs are not really fun for me. Trust me competition is sooo much better because your teammates actually know what they're doing if they're good lol.Ryan wrote:

COD 4 is intense, fun, hectic infantry combat. Essentially its a complete fucking blast! It has its faults, but not many!!

You really cant compare the two at all except for the fact they are FPS. . . . . . If you compare them straight infantry only, COD 4 kicks BF2's ass! But infantry combat isnt meant to soley be BF2's strong point. I dont know, I still play both regularly and love em for what they are.

The weapons are so accurate and powerful that if you see someone, you can kill them, even in softcore.
Plus the amazing ammount of nade spam, horrible spawn system, lack of teamwork, helicopters, airstrikes, etc. make the game not fun at allm, which is what games are all about.
imo BF2 takes more skill because of the hitreg.

Seeing as bullet penetration is a two way street...Camping behind a box doesn't guarantee your survival. If there are too many new players, or ones that don't know better...That person may well survive and continue doing it. However a lot of us adapt rather quickly. If i see bullets whizzing through the wall, I send some back.
Realistically every game has its issues and points of annoyance. My main one in BF2 / BF2142 are the people who insist on camping on an ammo box and hucking 100 nades in straight succession.
COD 4 is a very intense game, I can't remember sitting and waiting for enemies at any given moment, that's what alos makes it a great game, there's always someone to shoot in the face

Singleplayer = AWESOME! Big maps, realistic, lots to keep you interested.
Online play = Shit, tiny maps, No recoil, no deviation, no spread on any weapons, any kid can equip double tap and deep penetration and be good at COD4.

Singleplayer is great, multiplayer is just stupid, needs no skill and/or tactics at all. The ranking is a joke.
i can honestly say i enjoy COD4 way more than i enjoy BF2 (even though im playing BF2 more atm for the sole reason i wanna finally get Sergeant Major!!!!)
playing BF2 is still fun... but infantry servers are just grinding the medic kit and in other servers its just tank,heli,jet rape.
and i have only ever seen one hacker on COD4 and he was banned while i was there.... on the other hand... if i see one more commander hack on BF2 i will rape cadavers.

Maps are too small for big slot servers, ranks too easy to get, spawn system is a nice idea but totally shit.
Other than that I am happy at the moment, it was time to move on from BF2 and COD4 is keeping me entertained until BF3 I hope.
