Cruisers if you know what you're doing take about 5 days to get. For a first time you should end your trial with a cruiser basically.
My advice would be to not go for the BC yet. Wait till you have the cash and the skills to properly use one (i.e. deal and tank damage effectively). When you start AFKing lvl3 missions with ease, you know you're good (mind you, with a drake that might be hard unless you use FOF's)
EDIT: BTW I'm in Sinq Laison, based in the Eglennaert-Aunia area.
One more thing: Reckon I could solo a lvl4 in a battlecruiser? I hope so...

@ t2 fitted destroyers: with a slightly different focus and more patience you can get t2 frigates (and t2 fittings) which are kickass. An assault frig smashes crusiers with ease.
I used to want a HAC (the Ishtar - the drone one), but now I'm going for the Dominix. Cheaper, easier to train for and it does the same job equally as well - if not better.
New XP? Factional warfare and a Caldari lowsec region. So a fair bit.
Get past level 1's takes aaaages. Gets more fun after that, level 2's take a bit of effort but once you get to level 3 and have a decent battlecruiser it's a breeze.
