yea, got it Thursday and blazed through it. There was a hell of a lot fan service in the game, flash backs to previous MGS really gave it a nostalgic feel. It was one hell of a ride to say the least, the last game that had me feeling this way about gaming was MGS3. This one surpasses that game by leaps and bounds.

That killed me.  If your having problems switch to solid eye IR and follow the foot prints.  I sat there for like 20mins sayin THE FUCK!  Luckily I have a buddy who is so anal about MGS he was more or less finished in the first day and he gave me that pointer

Only thing about the game is replay can be somewhat anoying.  Am not saying it cant be replayed but, if, like me, your not going to watch ALL of those cut scenes again, your game play is heavily cut up.  For instance, if you start a new game and by pass all the cut scenes, you get at best 30-60seconds of game play before you really manage to get going (which is a further wait for instals, loading time, and the like. 

I'l like an option where you can disable cut scens for the sake of replay and remove that ''irritation''.

And am I missing something or is that VR thing absolute shit?  It's just a bunch of guys standing there :\

Great game though, plot and style to rival any hollywood movie, infact I would rather watch the cut scenes of it than most of the crap hollywood comes up with.  Some of it seemed a bit too in depth and didnt really serve much of a purpose, other times the cut scenes seemed to send you off in a tangent in the story, which, again, made it a bit hard to follow what is already a complex plot.  However, I think you can forgo all of that and really enjoy what is a fantastic game.  It isnt without it's flaws, but, unlike most games/movies that build to be so much and dont deliver, this one, imo, does .

I've got the limited edition sitting here on my shelf... but no PS3 to play it in

I'm a huge fanatic of the MGS series. People think I'm crazy that I spent ~$90 on a game for a system I don't have, but if I didn't pre-order, I'd wind up paying through the nose for it later on when I actually got a PS3. [When MGS3 Subsistence Limited Edition came out, I forgot to pre-order, so I bought it for $150 off eBay ]
