Its more then just a black finish
it has a 120G hardrive

I was wondering what games you fellas recommend for the 360?  I'll put in a disclaimer that I already have a PS3 so the ''get a PS3 instead'' is gone.  There are a few games I have always wanted (like Halo 3) but descided to go on balance for the PS3.  Yet with games like Battlefield bad company, which is releasing on both, I would rather have that for the 360 specifically due to it's much better online (and I find the 360 controller much better for FPS over the six axis).

Also, is the Elite worth the extra cash over the Premium (or any other).  I like the Black finish on the Elite but am not sure I like it THAT much to spend another $100+ on it.

sexybox360 is awsome assuming you dont have the red circle of death.

PS3 has nice hardware but shitty game line up/ crappy controller.

Wii is awsome but too many kiddie games.

Rent Assassins Creed, good game but about as much re-playability as a photograph (get it, its a single frame so you cant re-play it....yeah, stretching pretty far on that one...)

There is absolutely nothing to do after you beat it. You can tell they didn't even plan for you to play it twice, after you beat it if you load your game it just reloads to the ending credits. (you can watch them all again, retry one of the missions and save durring the mission if you want to load with out watching the credits every time though)

Plus its repetitive as fuck, and all the towns but one look exactly the same. I loved the first half, but by 3/4 of the way I just wanted to have it beat and done.

Anyways, I think you have the right idea on holding off a bit.... Would really suck to buy an xbox360 only to have them turn around and release the xbox540.

Mmm, bit extravigant I know, however it does make things quite a bit easier, for now (besides I didnt pay full retail for that unit).  For one thing the PS3 is no where near the room, so any time I want to watch a movie, I have to go get it, disconnect it from the other tv, hook it up, awww its just dumb, and really doesnt do u any favours if you have a girlfriend in and your fannying about with some black box (and cant get the fucking cable in 8-).

Has to go on the back burner for now, I have it hooked up to an old denon 3802 that is doing fine at the moment.  I would of rathered the new one and just use HDMI, but not only is there the cost of that unit, I need to rip this place appart to get rid of the current cables and replace it with new ones, a hassel am not sure I want to go through with when am considering getting a different place.

Agree. We've got Brawl, Rabbids and Mario. Then you can get the hardcore beauties on your PS3, like Bad Company, Soul Calibur, Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto 4.

But if you go the path of 360, and you have HDMI ports with your television/receiver, the most expensive version has the HDMI output. If you're a true fan for the best quality, I'd invest.

360 has a better online than the Wii, most Wii games don't have online play yet, while most PS3/360 games have it. If you're a true online nut, 360. But you have to pay to play. With the Wii, it's free to play online. 360 gets mic support, the Wii doesn't have one.

x360 is pritty decent I like it I also have a ps3 and it just collects dust and plays Blu rays.
