Stropy wouldn't be as in depth as it is then, you can always skip em or move around the cutscenes with Metal Gear Mk.IIbennisboy wrote:
Oh FFS, is this really nescessary, I'd rather just play the damn game, with the story unravelling through gameplay. MGS4 has multiple cutscenes that approach 90 minutes in length, each!

The absence of fixed camera angles, for example, or of extended Codec conversations, or of the distinctive PlayStation 2 textures, making the game feel less like a Metal Gear game and more like a typical action title. As the game starts, with its fairly generic next-gen textures and desert battlefield setting, you can't help feeling that you could be playing the latest Call of Duty, or Assassin's Creed.
Umm? So to start with the graphics are nothing special. And by the end of the review they are worth 10/10?IGN wrote:
10 Graphics
The visuals in MGS 4 are as cutting-edge as you can rightfully expect from the latest videogame blockbuster, boasting as much style as technical expertise.

He said the ABSENCE of fixed camera angles, extended codec or PS2 textures, meaning they are not there...Spidery_Yoda wrote:

Yeah. As for these scores. Remember GTA IV. It got 10/10 by nearly everybody and then everyone here complained about it.
Hardly anyone complainedSpidery_Yoda wrote:

Good, cos you're head clearly isnt on straight, there were a few minor complaints, but everyone still loved itSpidery_Yoda wrote:
Oh really? I seem to remember everyone going on about how it lacked features/wasnt as good as [insert GTA game here]/was a let down/didnt deserve 10/10 etc etc.
But fine whatever. I'm not going to post in this thread again.
No but you do get a cool MGS4: LE.M.O.A.B wrote:
Does the UK still get the bundle? The fellas in Game said they hadn't heard anything about it, that was for pre-ordering which I wasn't sure of being able to do to begin with. But it seems they hadn't heard of it at all.
yay!Spidery_Yoda wrote:

Isn't the point, 10/10 is perfect, so it's just stupid to give 10/10 and then complain (even minor complaints) about it later.bennisboy wrote:

It is the point actually. Even the reviewers said a 10 out of 10 doesn't mean its perfect, but that its flaws are minor and it takes gaming forward with a huge amount of improvements and positivesEldu wrote:
