This is just one big console war now. Thank you for this blessing.
Just get one and keep the 360.
That'll shut everyone up.

omgggg you traitor!!! No srsly, good choice. Both consoles have their positive points and a combination won't come so you'll have to get them all! (Like pokemons)kptk92 wrote:

Nah I can't do that JensJenspm wrote:
@Kptk: If I were you, I'd sell the XBox and buy a PS3.
And as for the controller, I wont go into it aside from saying I think it feels cheap and uncomfortable.VicktorVauhn wrote:
I don't mean to bring more xbox vs ps to this, but I don't get why people are so down on the PS controllers?
Maybe I just grew up using them, but they are fine? I have an xbox 360 controller for computer games, and its fine too...Neither one is better?
I take that back...the xbox 360 controller I have has a better casing then my PS3 controller and feels completely solid. The PS3 controller only feels almost completely solid (not very bad, but with a firm grip you can feel the two halfs of it rather then it just feeling like a solid case...if that makes sense)
Layout wise they are just different....both are almost perfect, both feel slightly awkward when using all the button, AND R1/2 L1/2 at the same time.
PS3 is a cool piece of hardware though. I haven't really used an xbox 360 so I cannot compare but the PS is worth $400...
I LOVE the ps button on the controller, being able to turn on/off as well as exit the game and check battery level from my seat is great. The Xbox has an identical button. It does all that, and also lets you talk to people on msn, play music, send and recieve xbox messages etc.
VERY cool that they support other operating systems and leave things that open. The xbox doesn't let you use diff operating systems
Built in bluetooth and stock wireless controllers is very cool. Same on xbox
Built in wireless is great and a underrated money saver when considering one console vs another The xbox has no built in wi-fi, and the adaptor is ridiculously expensive
User replaceable hard drives, under warrenty, with out opening anything other then the HDD bay door. Very cool.Much like the OS, the hard drive has to be a 360 harddrive. And like the Wifi, 360 hard drives are stupidly expensive. Fortunately the console comes with one.
Little things, like charging the controllers is from a mini USB cable rather then requiring a seperate battery pack or special cables. The xbox has a 'special cable' for charging its controllers. And to get that you need to buy a little rechargable battery pack thing
Same AV cable as PS 2 (and for that matter ps1?), I have plenty of backups so I can leave one set hooked up to where ever, just unplug the console a move to another room.Never had any other xbox but i'm assuming it has new cables
Free PSN! PSN kinda sucks, but I less lag then in PC games? Not much to say here. xbox Live. I personally dont see what the fuss is about as it is far worse than playing on the PC
All the media server stuff is really cool, the web browser is a pita to use with a controller but its there. (Xbox I guess has equivalents) [the xbox has no web browser. MS are too paranoid about user safety, and the safety of the machines[/b]
You can use a cell phone blue tooth headset for a mic, so no need to go out and buy a PS3 one. All 360's come with a headset

I want my PTT though, you'd get less useless breathing.Vilham wrote:
Yeah the xbox head set is very good vicktor. It just plugs into the controller and has a mute button on the plug section.

I dunno, I like having microphones on consoles, regardless of the kids. They'll be more implemented in games as time goes on (as seen with EndWar) You get them even more on PC games, I've begun to realize. I can't go one TF2 round without hearing some little kid say "GUYS, GO GET TEH POINT!!!!111!!!1!" or something like that.r'Eeee wrote:

And I really hate not having text chat in consoles. The only game I know that support text chat is Metal Gear Online. It's so useful.
There is this for the PS3, although it isn't official. But to be honest, I would rather use a normal keyboard.Poseidon wrote:

Some 360 games have text chat. In fact, they have this really convenient add-on now for the 360 called the messenger kit.

I've tried it, and it's really easy to get used to and it's a LOT better than having to plug in some bulky keyboard. I hope the PS3 comes out with something like it in case I for some reason get MGS4.

Looks okay, but the thing with the dualshock/sixaxis is, your hands wrap around the bottom handles, so it seems like it would get in the way. If it works, I'll pick it up, depending on the price.r'Eeee wrote:
