Wasn't it stated that Kotor 3 is not really in development or something? I don't know, whatever.

Si.

I loved the first two (other than the ending for TSL) so I have high hopes for the third, especially since BioWare is back at the helm.

If it's anything like the first one, it'll be fantastic. The second one was great up until the non-ending despite the masses of cut content.

Thing is, the first few times I played it, I did not know about any cut content. Despite some open questions, I enjoyed it. But then I stumbled over excerpts from the lost content and that made me sad. Really. Shame that a pressing release date butchered such a wonderful experience.
Was a great game nonetheless.

Although the first one is one of the best games I ever played. The story was nothing short of outstanding. The moment you discovered you were raven the first time left me speechless for the rest of the day.

IF the third one is coming, I´ll start to shit bricks right now, cause I won´t have the time to do so once I get a hand on that!

I think we should be Revan in the outer rim against the True Sith, and you can start a new Revan or import your old one from SWKotoR 1
Or just start new.

Or they could go for a completely different story line =\

Give us direct combat (or an option for it) - sort of like a cross between the old KOTORs and the Jedi Knight series.

The shit ending for TSL was because Lucas Arts cut Obsidian Short. Obsidian originally wanted to release the game in February 2005 (when the PC version ending up coming out) but LA forced them to release it in November.

It was supposed to have a larger sub-plot involving the HK-50 droids, the way it ended up being the HK-50s seemed tacked on also there was supposed to be allot more about Malachor V and what went on before The Exile got there.

no that would ruin SWKotoR, it has its own type of combat which makes it what it is.

You mean the second worse combat system to Final Fantasy? That isn't what made it unique or fun, that's what slowed it down. If they actually had real combat, then it would be so much better.

no, that type of fighting is far better than getting people to button bash or whatever, Knights of the old Republic is absolutey fine, all they need is a better story line.

The slowing down of the game made people get into it more, make them think about what they have to do.

Or i think this because i think the 2 SWKotoR's are the best games i've ever played.

the first KOTOR kicked serious ass. story line, gameplay. the second one started off strong, but felt diluted in the end if you ask me.

Combat was often tedious. Granted, the animations were pretty much top notch (if extremely repetitive after a while), but the system turned every piece of combat into a drawn out protracted encounter, even if it was for something that two Jedis and a fucking death robot would piss on normally.

I mean honestly, if they're going to make me spend hours and hours fighting grashoppers in a cave next time at least give me direct control so it doesn't take 3 minutes each.

On a side note, the writing of KOTOR 1 and 2 was great, as was the character customisation (I still have a 2/3 finished save game where I have a stealth ninja jedi who is always flanked by his floozies (Handmaiden and Bounty Hunter Chick whose name I can't remember because its been about a year now, both trained as Jedi's).

who here has actually played through the game using only light side powers and as the jedi class most based on force powers?
no matter what i did i always ended up needing to melee combat and in the end choosing the melee jedi class

I think I will probably get 10% into it like I did with the last two before getting super-bored at the pace. I could've watched all six Star Wars episodes in the time it took me to knuckle about with a sword in some weird base in KotORII.

Then you miss-trained your Jedi. My kept cutting through hordes of critters and mercenaries. If it wasn´t for the funny dialogues between the party members, I could have gone alone most of the time. Especially once you got your lightsaber, you became almost unstoppable.

And the hours of Pazaak and swoop racing. One of the few games, that really pulled me into it. <3

Blasphemy! Games so easy to learn.
I spent days (and I mean real-life days!) playing it in cantina´s until the opposition suggested to stop palying for money cause I stripped every credit off of them. Would be if there were online play rooms, like partypoker or such for pazaak!

Never got into the Pazaak side game though online Pazaak sounds fun..would be cool if you could walk into a cantina in a town that's part of the online world and challenge people

Oooooh I'd so buy that.

I loved the first two.

Spoiler (highlight to read):
Actually, I hated the game at first, because it seemed so slow. Then I actually tried playing it for more than an hour, and got hooked.

That would be awesome indeed! I might take my mind for a spiritual walk here and add a small maybe:

Maybe with all the online gaming, chatting living and what-not going on nowadays, even a purely singleplayer game gets some online action. As the game itself probably leaves only the co-op possibilty to multigame (which would not work well I guess), some minor online part may be included. Swoop racing and pazaak playing against real opponents online, results being kept in online ladders for example. That would be awesome! Although it still is a small maybe.
