In bird hunting you don't use lead shot...it's steel...and it's easier to kill a bird with a shotgun rather than a rifle or pistol for that matter...you use different shot for different animals...you use tiny shot for birds and shooting clays and heavier stuff for deer...basically the stuff you use for deer is what's loaded in your shotgun when your online playing this game...TheMajorBummer wrote:

If you can't kill someone with a 12 gauge at close range with one shot.....well I don't think I would want to go hunting with you in the first place, obviously there is some lack of skill in aiming that was overlooked in the first place!
I have hunted a few different species of birds that flush pretty erratically, and I would expect the second in line to rule the country would have enough self awareness to know when a 78 year old lawyer is in his line of fire.....unlessssss.....
p.s. in cheney's defense, the shot in the 12 gauge would be really small and not carry much of a pattern, so the whole bad shot thing might now apply as he did hit the dude in the head and chest

Actually, Cheney was shooting a 20 Guage, not a 12 guage. There is a big difference. And from what I have read, the guy was not where he was supposed to be.

I really like the noob call. Very very funny. Apparently Cheneys had a team of "quacks" following him in case he had "another" heart attack. They were able to look after the poor "victim" on site.
The serious issue about this topic is about the abuse of power(ie why wasnt this front page news in less than 6 hours) and about how serious this issue will be dealt with legally. Just cos he is the VP do we hide this news or do we make another Lewisnky style media debate over it. I think its just funny personally.
I know it was an accident for two reasons.
1. Cheney wouldn't have done it himself. NO way. He has people to do that for him.
2. Victim survived. Cheney has got to the VP position by being precise about certain things. Murder and death are one of them. The whole thing smacks of "shit happens". Come on people, how many of us have caught a stray round in the teeth from a squadmate?
Hunting: I dont personally. I'm not saying I probably wouldnt enjoy it(ie stalking the prey, the perfect one shot kill- I mean I do play BF2 as a sniper sometimes....) however my thoughts are simple.
If you kill it, you better eat it. Otherwise you are a sadist

What's more cowardly? Going out and shooting an animal, or having someone else kill it for you and sell pieces to you in plastic wrap? If you're eating meat, it's obviously died somehow. I'd much rather be shot in the heart than strung from my feet and get my gut and throat slashed.

Maybe Cheney had a mild stroke, got bored for waiting for his turn as president and his Brain thought he was shooting at "The BUSH"(pres) and not "A BUSH"(shrub).
Honestly this topic has been brought up far too much. It's like something the news people covered cause there wasn't anything good that day. Who really cares? So Cheney shot a guy, what does it matter? The guy lived and I doubt it was any sort of attempt to kill him, but if it was then Cheney sucks at killing people. Who honestly cares.
