Hey,


So everytime I log off, or shut off the game; the next time I get on I need to re-define my aircraft roll keys. Is there anyway to fix this? I'm sick of getting on a server, getting in aircraft and crashing. I know I could put a note or something so I don't forget but it's really annoying. Can anybody help me? Thanks

yeh i had this problem mate , i reinstalled then repatched .....blah ...blah ...blah , you know the drill . it worked fine for me after that chummy !!

its actually surprised me when i started playing it again


my 1.8 AMD 3000+
512 RAM
6600

runs the game so smoothly compared to bf2 and the loading times are so much faster
ex. titan mode lolaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggg

i have a simlar pc to you tehremos, a 1.8 amd 3000+ but a 6200 and 1.5 gigs of ram. I also load maps VERY FAST but titan = not even worth trying to go in most of the time lol.

Same. I can fight on the ground and stuff but if I look up at the titan or go in one on a server with more then 24 people I get crappy lag. Can't wait for my extra GB of RAM coming. Then I'll have a descent PC.

My current rig:    P4 (The good one) 3.00GHz + ASUS EN8800GT 256mb + 1GB RAM + Windows XP Pro

Mmkay, This is another one of my possible fixes.

If you are talking about BF2142, Alt-Tab to something WHILE AT THE LOGIN SCREEN. Then Alt-tab back to the game.

Start the game as usual.
Redefine your aircraft roll keys or w/e.
Apply the changes.

WHILE still in the game, Alt-Tab to your desktop.

Then Navigate to..

Start -> My Documents -> *Battlefield 2/Battlefield 2142* -> Profiles -> *Whichever your profile is.. e.g 0001* -> Controls.con

Make a copy of your freshly edited Controls.con.
Then Right-click your original Controls.con.

Right-Click Controls.con -> Properties -> And check "Read-only".
